The 40th anniversary of the end of the Miners' Strike in Britain
A statue of a miner and his family was unveiled by former NUM leader Arthur Scargill on the 23rd July 1993 during the 40th anniversary of the conclusion of the Miners' Strike in Britain was commemorated on March 3, 2025. This strike, which lasted nearly a year beginning on March 6, 1984, had a profound effect on British trade unionism, industry, economic policy, and the wider political landscape; at the National Union of Mineworkers headquarters, Barnsley, United Kingdom, 3rd March 2025
